Due to human (non-bot) spam the first contribution of a user has to be reviewed and activated manually, all further contributions do not require this.
As long as a user does not have at least one reviewed and activated contribution, the user is unable to edit his profile, set a avatar, title picture or a signature.

    Welcome to the Mod Wishlist!

This thread can be used to suggest your mod ideas to the modding community.
Share your thoughts with Mod Developers on eco-mods.com and your "wish" might come true. ;)

    Mod Wishlist Rules

    • Posts that doesn't relate to a mod suggestion will get removed.
    • Discussions about suggestions are allowed. But keep rule #1 in mind!
    • Describe your suggestions as best as you can with a lot of information. Something like:"Creative Mode, pls!?" will get removed.
    • Search through the wishlist before posting a new suggestion.
    • Use the "Like/Thumbs Up" feature underneath a post to express your support for an idea.
    • If you dislike a suggestion, there is one option: Ignore it.

Hope this will result in a wave of fresh and useful modifications for Eco.
Have fun, and happy modding! :)

    Dear Mod Developers,
we've updated our Resource Manager system to let you easily add an icon for your mod while creating a new resource or editing it, instead of adding it after it was already created through a standalone modal. Hope this makes the process of adding an icon easier.

You probably have noticed that when viewing the Resources page - you'll find a lot of the default gear-icons, i would like to encourage you in adding your own custom icon to the mod to make it stand out more and to make the whole section look a bit prettier.

    Thank you!

Probably not the best idea for a forum that aims to provide mods but restricting posting privileges in the the main mods subforum (releases) for new users...

Are you talking about creating a post in a Thread or creating a new Thread.

You are not able to create a new Thread in "Releases" because you have to create a new Resource in order to automatically generate a discussion in "Releases". This prevents people from posting their Mods without using our Resource Feature.

For more information on adding a mod to the resources. Click here.

My wife also found that she was not aloud to download any mods after singing up, this also needs looking at to change it so they can download soon as they activate there accounts.

Once you've confirmed your email address. Your account gets activated and with that the permission to download mods from the resources.

    any help please?

Hey ELIM. So if you're using the Singleplayer version of Eco, where your friends are able to join, you're basically hosting a server.

You can add the WorldEdit mod by simply dragging the file into the location of the server. Search for your Eco installation and follow this path. That's how i installed it (No Steam): [ICODE]Desktop -> EcoPC_v0.7.2.3-beta -> Eco_Data -> Server -> Mods[/ICODE]

Once you're in the Mods folder, you want to add the WorldEdit.dll and start playing. :)

Please still support if you can 7.1.2 :) I am not moving to the new updates yet there still two buggy and not worth pushing a update just yet until they stop fixing little things, there is still another update to come yet for the 7.2.x so I am not stressing myself or our users out for small bugs that brake the game in smaller places

You can visit the History page of every resource to download older files.

    Hi
I know this sounds noobish however I am new to eco and never played minecraft. I don't play on servers I play on my pc single player with 2 friends. does this mod work for single player and is there a guide on how to install it please

Hello, welcome to the community @ELIM :)
So since you're playing with two friends, you probably have a server you connect too, right? Correct me if i'm wrong.

    Regards,
    Looh

Hello @Rexzooly - welcome to the community.

I like the idea and the reasons behind Eco Connect, but for now it's a niche programm for people who have problems with the official serverbrowser.
However, i would like to tell you that i'm a fan of a dedicated, third-party server browser if it extends the abilities of the official one.

Take a look at the A3Launcher for ARMA3 - it is such a huge advantage over the official one that is laggy and messes up your network connection while searching for specific keywords for example. And at the time A3Launcher, launched, ARMA3 itself didn't had a launcher with an integrated serverbrowser. So that was a huge selling point for the A3Launcher since people didn't wanted to start the game and use the ingame serverbrowser that performed poorly.

TLDR; I don't see myself using it when i still have to manually add the IP and Port. But i would like to use a "A3Launcher" inspired serverbrowser for Eco.

    Regards,
    Looh

Getting your mods for Eco listed on the Resources-Page is very simple and doesn't require a lot of time.
In this little guide i'll walk you through the process of adding a new mod to Eco Mods.

When you've clicked on "Resources" in the navigation you'll see a list of mods that have been published on Eco Mods.
We currently seperate the resources in three categories; Server Mods, Webapp Mods and Tools.

Once you've clicked on the yellow "Add resource" button you'll choose the category your mod belongs too.
You'll be then greeted with a new page where you need to fill out some forms.

    • Title - The name/title of your mod.
    • Version - The version number of your mod.
    • Tag line - A "one-line" description of your mod.

After filling out these three forms you can then decide to if you want to:

    • Upload and host your mod on Eco Mods
    • OR
    • Provide your own download link (own website, dropbox ect.)

You can then link to the source code and mention other contributors if you want to.
You'll then have to choose the Eco versions your mod is compatible with. (Use CTRL+LClick for multiple options).
Now you can get a bit more creative while creating your main description of your mod.
Optionally you can add some tags and enter an additional URL for more informations about your mod.

Now that you've filled out the forms you can go ahead and click on the green "Save" button and your mod will be published on Eco Mods.
Once your mod has been published you'll receive a special forum badge to let everybody know that you've released a mod on our website.
